Build a Racetrack

We will be building a racetrack in the garden area in the back. Please come wearing paint-friendly clothes as we will be painting the lines on the track.

Hopscotch

During this event, we will be painting numbers on the squares and decorating the new hopscotch board using stencils. Our garden is continuing to grow in fun! Won’t you come and be part of the memories?

Garden Clean Up

We have had so much fun this summer out in the garden! Let’s get it ready for winter. We will need to remove old dead plants, cover some that will come back next year, and clean out the birdhouses. If you are an adult with gardening knowledge we would love for you to join us. We would love to hear your tips and tricks in the garden.

Kids are always hungry and parents don’t always have a lot of time to prepare healthy, fun snacks. Here are two recipes that are easy enough for the kids to make on their own. Join us whether you want to learn a new recipe to make together or to let your
kiddo learn some independence in the kitchen.

There are so many things going on in your
child’s world these days that may cause them to worry or anxiety. We will be discussing their feelings and making these worry stones that they can keep in their pocket to rub whenever they need to be reminded to stay calm and know that everything will be okay.

Saltwater Jars

In this activity, we will learn about density and how salt behaves when mixed with water.

Pin Bottle and Watertight Wonder

In these two experiments, we will discuss the force of water. We will discuss terms such as atmospheric pressure, polyethylene, and molecules.

Marbled Pebbles

In this experiment, we will learn about suspension liquids and how they interact with water. When we are finished you will have a unique gift or beautiful display to put in your garden.

 

Magnetism

We will meet Magnetism and find out the difference between “repel” and “attract”. We will also look at what materials are not magnetic. Let’s have some hands-on fun!

Force

Let’s have a blast learning about Newton’s first law of motion while at the same time being introduced to new vocabulary words such as torque and friction.
