Youth Programs

What a Wonderful World | Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m.
Come to the Library today to celebrate Earth Day! We’ll read stories and make a craft that celebrates our planet. Register Now

Mommy & Me Paint Date| Saturday, May 13th at 1:30 p.m.
Bring your mom (or Grandma or favorite aunt!) to our Mommy and Me Paint Date with Lindsay Patterson, from Painted Love by Lindsay, just in time for Mother’s Day. The cost for this program is $35 per pair of attendees. Registration and payment are required by Friday, April 28th.  Register Now

A Day at the Races | Tuesday, March 21st, from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Come and build a balloon-powered car out of simple materials! When everyone is finished, we’ll race the cars to see whose goes the farthest and fastest!

Code Your Name | Tuesday, April 18th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Learn about binary coding a.k.a. computer language using 1s and 0s. Find out how to code your name and create a piece of jewelry with your name in code to take home

Slime Time | Tuesday, May 16th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Who doesn’t love SLIME? During this fun program, we will play with homemade slime and make our own play-dough to take home!

Women’s Work |Thursday, March 9th from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
March is Women’s History Month, so we will be learning about some of history’s most famous women! For instance, did you know that the world’s first computer programmer was actually a woman? We will talk about this famous lady (Ada Lovelace) along with many others, some of whom might be familiar to you and some of whom you might never have heard of before.

Planet Power | Thursday, April 13th from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
During this program, we will learn about Earth Day, recycling, sustainability, and being “green.” We will also discuss gardening (with the help of our very own Youth Services Assistant, Denise!), talk about the library’s new Seed Library, and everyone will receive a starter plant to take home!

C’mon, Get Messy!  | Thursday, May 11th from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
It’s our last program before Summer Reading begins and we can’t think of a better way to wrap things up than by making fun, messy art! So wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and come prepared to get messy as we let our artistic sides out to play!


 Teen Programs

Make Your Own Coasters| Thursday, May 18th from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
During this DIY program, we will be making our own coasters out of bathroom tiles! We’ll provide all the necessary materials and have some design options available, but if you have a specific design that you would like to use, you should bring it with you to the program. Registration Required by May 15th.

Adult Programs

AARP Driver’s Safety |Tuesday, April 4th and Wednesday, April 5th 12:30-4:30 p.m.

This course consists of two four-hour sessions for experienced drivers age 50 and over. The cost of the course is $15 dollars for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Attending the course will allow for a discount on your driver’s insurance. Registration required.

Looking for your “What’s Next”? Life Reimagined is an innovative new program that helps people identify and achieve their goals, no matter where they are in life. This class will help you visualize what your life can look like! Registration Required

Healthy Choices for Healthy Living | Friday, May 12th at 2:00 p.m.

Third Age Living will be at the library with a presentation that demonstrates ways a person can improve their overall health and well-being. Specific examples including healthy recipes, exercises for everyone, stress busting techniques, and local resources will be provided. Registration Required

Learn how essential oils & natural based products can help keep your entire family healthy & happy all year long. From using peppermint oil to soothe your muscles after a long day, to Frankincense to help clear your mind & aid in relaxation, you’ll learn how to take control of your health with natural remedies that are made to work with your body! Learn how to catch up on your favorite television series and movies! Learn about the different streaming devices such as a Roku, Apple TV, Fire Sticks, etc. and the different streaming subscriptions available such as Netflix, Hulu, and more!

If you have never used a computer before or need a refresher on the basics of how to use one, this class is for you! We will show you how to do basic tasks like opening a program, saving a file, & getting on the internet.

Are you interested in learning how to access FREE eBooks, eAudiobooks and magazines from the Library? Then sign up for this class! We will show you how to check out eBooks and eAudiobooks and place requests on books you want to read. Participants must bring their device and charger to the program.
