Special Events

Touch Screen Gloves| Tuesday, December 23rd from 3:30 – 5:00p.m.

For ages 12-18.  Can’t answer your smartphone when it’s cold outside?  We will take a pair of ordinary gloves and turn them into touchscreen gloves using Any Glove and Puffer Paint.  Registration Required.

Light Painting| Wednesday, February 14th from 3:30 – 5:00p.m.

For ages 12-18. We will create unique photographs experimenting with light and exposure settings.  Please bring anything that emits light (i.e. flashlight, glow sticks, light up toys, etc.)

Hot Pepper Challenge| Wednesday, February 18th from 3:30 – 5:00p.m.

For ages 12-18. Can you handle the heat? Come to the library and test your taste buds to see if you have what it takes to try various types of hot peppers on the Scoville scale.  Milk provided.

Teen Advisory Board | First Wednesday of the Month from 3:30 – 5:00p.m.
December 3rd| January 7th| February 4th

Teen Advisory Board meets the first Wednesday of each month.  TAB members provide advice on book purchases, teen programs, and help with library projects.  If you would like to contribute your ideas, please joins us! Ages 12-18 are welcome to attend.

Teen Book Club

Teen Book Club meets on selected Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m.  Copies of these books will be available for checkout at the library.

The Note and Pen Society| First Saturday of the Month from 11:00 – 12:00p.m.

Ages 12-18. Do you love to write? Are you looking for a group to share your writing with and bounce ideas back and forth?  The “brainchild” of a local teen, this new group will focus on key elements of creative writing. We will share and edit our writing projects together, as well as Round-Robin Writing and Painting Inspired Poetry.  All genres of writing styles welcome! Join us for our first meeting December 6th. Snacks provided.
